Lois MelbourneLois Melbourne, GPHR, Co-founder and Chief
Executive Officer

Lois is Aquire’s market and product “co-visionary,” along with her husband and co-founder, Ross Melbourne. Since the genesis of Aquire in 1994, Lois’ industry expertise and strategic direction have helped transform the company from a fledgling innovator in basic org charts into the leader in workforce planning and analytics solutions. She is continually broadening her knowledge of the HR industry and expanding her own personal and professional network of HR colleagues. She is one of an elite group of HR professionals from around the world who are Global Professional in Human Resources certified by The Human Resource Certification Institute, the leading independent, internationally-recognized certifying body for the HR profession.

Lois is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and IHRIM. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Dallas as part of the pioneering PRAXIS program. She is a regular blogger on industry issues, frequently speaks at industry and professional events, and has authored articles related to trends in corporate governance, strategic organizational management and many other issues concerning human resource data integrity and management.

Technology Officer

Ross is the technological driving force behind Aquire’s industry-leading workforce planning and analytics solutions, including Aquire InSight™ for workforce analytics and OrgPublisher™ for workforce reporting and automatic org charting. Although Ross is a software industry veteran and is continually working to advance the technological capabilities of Aquire solutions, he is far from a remote technical innovator. Rather, he nurtures and is motivated by a strong personal understanding of the needs of Aquire customers and a desire to help them overcome their toughest workforce management challenges on a daily basis. Ross speaks at industry events, conducts annual Aquire technical workshops and has been published in several leading technology and business publications. A native of England, Ross has lived in the United States since 1988.

Tom McKeownTom McKeown, President and Chief Operating Officer

Tom leads Aquire’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that its workforce planning and management solutions continue to lead the industry. A 25-year veteran of the software and technology industry, Tom has been with Aquire since 2005, when he was hired as Executive Vice President of Global Sales. Under his direction, he helped the company achieve record revenues, and was subsequently promoted to his present position. Prior to joining Aquire, Tom was Director of Sales at Citrix Systems where he helped establish their Web-based collaboration and support business as the industry leader. Before that, he served as Vice President of Sales for Quantum Corporation, managing their network-attached storage business. He has also held management positions at WebEx, Adobe Systems and 3Com.

Tom Ericson, Vice President of Domestic Sales

Tom is responsible for growing sales revenue of the Aquire solution suite and professional services domestically, as well as in the Asia Pacific region, through both direct team and partner sales. Tom brings 25 years of technology experience to Aquire. His team is comprised of Enterprise Account Managers servicing the Fortune 1000, and Corporate Account Executives responsible for small to medium-sized business customers. He joined the Aquire team in 2005 as an Enterprise Account Manager out of New York and was the company’s top producing sales representative in 2006 and 2007 before being promoted to manager of the enterprise team, and eventually to his current position. Tom’s past experience includes sales and sales management positions with several hardware and software technology companies including IBM, SCS Inc., Verizon Wireless and MAPICS.

Marc A. Ramos, MBA, Director of Marketing

Marc Ramos is the Director of Marketing and Alliances at Aquire, Inc.  His 10-year commitment to Aquire has put Marc in several capacities. He started with Aquire as a sales representative, was promoted to Director of Corporate Sales and Alliances, and in 2010 was promoted to Director of Marketing and Alliances.
By forming strategic alliances, managing channels, and directing Aquire’s Global marketing efforts, Marc is further enhancing Aquire’s reputation as a thought leader and innovator in workforce planning and analytics. Marc teaches, challenges, and develops his team so that they can communicate Aquire’s value to all stakeholders.

Marc is also recognized in the Human Resource Management space. For the past four years, Marc has served as Vendor Relations Chair on the Oracle HCM Users Group Board.  He is also a seasoned speaker who presents at numerous industry events, as well as other HR User Group conferences throughout North America.
Marc holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX and has earned his MBA at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.
